If you’re testing our product at home – placing the bag in water will not dissolve the bag, even if left for days. There are two main keys to dissolve Flush ‘n Gone poop bags:

1). Twist and Turn. The bag becomes more and more brittle as it’s immersed with water. The twist and turn action during flushing will further act to break the bag.

2). Bacteria. This is the most important stage of the disintegration of the bag! Bacteria found in the septic tank (poop) will begin to further break-down the bag into its ultimate form – water and CO2.

3). Closed System. The closed environmental system inside the septic tank, with factors such as humidity, pressure, acidity, and temperature will work with bacteria to dissolve the bag.
For obvious reasons, it is unlikely that an average consumer can properly test the dissolvability of the bag at home. Again, simply placing the bag in a container filled with water will not dissolve the bag.
